I am in love with Imaginator, and the only thing that would make it 100% for me would be some sort of airbrush/retouch tool. Might this be a possibility in future versions of the program?

:D

There are currently 21 blending modes of the paint - have you tried "Color Dodge" from the Paint popup?

It has an effect like an airbrush mixing the paint with what's under it...

Will definitely try that. There are still things on Imaginator that I have not tried yet....but that sounds like an interesting one.

I should also add that when you choose the color for the paint, if you drag the alpha slider towards more transparency (to the right), you can further enhance the air brush effect.

HINT: click the edge of the color well in the Paint options area to automatically set the color as you drag around in the color well.

I do love Imaginator. It's very different with other image processing software. And I love being able to undo and change the effects by reordering them.

you might check out the many composite effects provided by the paint layer in conjunction with low density...
