That's a really general question that's difficult to answer. What software are you using to do the conversion? I assume you had a movie that was viewable when embedded in a web page before, but you converted it to MPEG4, and now it doesn't work. Is that the problem?

If you want help, you have to be very specific about what you're trying to do, and what you've already tried.

I might also ask what this has to do with Create. :)

I am trying to put video on my web site and wanted my video to be minimum size as possible, so I thought maybe MEPE-4 format would be useful. I have used Quick time and worked but it takes to long to down load.
Do you have any suggestions?

I wanted to put our church serve rice on the web page.
The service is about 30min.
You have any suggestion on Final Cut to do this and put it on the Creat web?

I don't use Final Cut, but this should apply anyway.

You need to choose a video codec and an audio codec that's appropriate for your movie. Deliver the movie as a Quicktime Movie (that's the file format, as opposed to the MPEG-4 file format) and you'll have the most flexibility.

If you can stand to force people to use Quicktime 7, you can use the H.264 video codec, which looks the nicest, and makes the smallest movie. If you need to support something less recent, try Sorenson 3 or MPEG-4 Video.

Audio isn't as important to the file size, but you can use the AAC or QDesign and have pretty good luck with it.

You can also reduce the frame rate of your movie to 12 or 15 fps to make it smaller.

There's a lot of reading you can do about video compression, just do some web searches on that topic.

I don't use Create for web page production, so I can't help you there, but there's a thread here about embedding Flash in a Create document. You can use a similar technique for Quicktime.

I see you've also been through this process, at least partially, before:

The advice there still holds. To get everything you want, you might have to open the HTML file Create generates in something like TextEdit or TextWrangler (any text editor -- don't use Microsoft Word), and edit the EMBED and OBJECT tags so you can make your movie play automatically.

And with that, I'm done. Good luck!

I embed a lot of QuickTime content in Create web pages, and I use Pageot to generate the specific HTML code:

http://www.qtbridge.com/pageot/pageot.html

This freeware app can generate all necessary code to access various QT functions, as well as the needed OBJECT tags for IE compatibility. Once I create the QuickTime movie, I open it in Pageot, select desired options and preview the code; I then cut-and-paste the code into the Create page using the Embed tool.

Here's an example (check out the HTML):

Very interesting and thank you for posting.

What do you use to make your Quicktime movies?
