Hi,

I hope someone can help me..

I want to create a set of interlinked albums, but am having problems ..

On the initial index page, I have 2 indexes - 1 is the picture index I want and can change settings for, the other is a text index I seem to have no control over.

Short of hacking the html, I can't get rid of it..
..Why is it there ??

Also, it's a pain to manipulate the setting for the index page and the album pages..
..I want consistency on all the pages [which is there, and I guess why the settings are done the way they are], but wouldn't it be better to automatically use the same settings, rather than actively select to use the saved settings ??

Also, when are we gonna get an update to PhotoToWeb ??

Are we going to get any more gallery templates, preferably hierarchical albums ??

So you are using a "Library Tree" and outputting several albums to a site, right?

Doesn't look like there's a way to not output the text on the TOC pages of the Library site - but I could add a hidden default if they are bothering you that much.

That's easy - open the drawer on the Library Tree window, click "Apply top level HTML options". That basically means, every album output to the site should take its options from the Library Tree's HTML Web Options...

As for more gallery templates - users should submit the ones they like for inclusion in future distributions.

As for getting rid of the text on the TOC page of a Library Tree's web output, you can now do it in this version:

ftp://ftp.swcp.com/pub/tmp/a/PhotoToWeb-2007-05-21.dmg

You need to set the following hidden default, which you can do by copying and pasting the following command into a Terminal window (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal)

Code:
defaults write com.stone.PhotoToWeb NoTextOnLibraryTreeTOC YES

Hope that helps!

Well, hit me with a kipper - I'm stunned !!

Thank you very much for your support and your problem fixing [though, not really a problem].

I should say, tho, that the solution in a another forum post [ http://www.stone.com/stoneforum/viewtopic.php?t=904 ] might be a more powerful/more flexible solution for me.

I'm very glad I'm a paid up member of Create/PhotoToWeb/Others..
..Because the software is great - and so is the support.

I'm a new purchaser, and with the power within the Stone packages, I think I'm going to be a happy and productive one !!

Smoked or Pickled Kipper?

Due to the mercury in fish these days, I've reverted to my former upright position of vegetarianism, so kippers can be used for hitting instead of eating.

Using Create with PhotoToWeb can give you the absolute most control.

You can use PhotoToWeb to generate the TOC and it's images, and then just drag those images into Create to layout your own TOC - I do that here in this combo Create/Slice/PhotoToWeb/GIFFun/iMaginator designed site:
