I know this is opposite of what Videator is for, but after I did some Videator things in the last few days, using the paint layer to point to things and adding text, etc., I decided I now want to make some screen capture videos. I am looking at applications that do that kind of thing -- iShowU, etc. -- and I wanted to know first if that is ever going to be a possibility with Videator. If the question is insulting or just plain ridiculous, please consider the layman source. I know I can do what I'm asking if I use screenshots, but I'm really interested in recording my actual movements onscreen. It doesn't have to have audio, because I can add that with Garage Band. Just wondering because, naturally, I'd like to give ALL my money to Stone Design. :D

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do but, you could:

1. size videator window to fill screen including hiding the controls with the small triangular disclose button between controls and movie

2. make a quicktime movie by clicking the record button

3. then choose File -> Save Frames... and pick your format and how often you want a frame

That's still recording me just sitting here working. Boring. I want to be able to record what is taking place on my screen. If I want to do an instructional video showing how to do something on my computer, I need to be able to record my screen or desktop. I probably will have to get another camera and record my screen that way.

Thanks, Blond, I've downloaded the demo for SnapzPro and also iShowU and Screencast. I'm going to make a screencast to show people how easy it is to create a website with Create. :D That's my New Year Resolution.
