If you have an image that you want to transition into a second image, it seems to work best if you make sure all transformations are done the images before you import them into your project. I usually use iMovie and never had a problem with this, but I found that in Videator, if I made my transformations after inserting an image, then any transitions between one image and another would reveal the original image along with its transformed version.

For example, I imported a video that was recorded sideways, then I rotated it 90 degrees. When I tried to dissolve a video into the rotated image, however, I kept seeing the sideways video right before seeing the rotated one. I could only resolve the problem by first rotating the video, saving it, and then importing the newly rotated video into my project.

Seems like the perfect time to mention - why not use iMaginator or Create to prepare you images if they need transformations?

I'll look into the rotated video thing - but glad you figured out a workaround in any case.
