If you have not yet upgraded to Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), and want to run Create 14, then you will need to grab this even-newer-than V14 release:

ftp://ftp.swcp.com/pub/tmp/a/Create-2007-10-26.dmg

The next public release will be compatible with 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5, but meanwhile, install this one!

Basically, "Effects" were not showing up correctly - you can read more about that here:
