Hi all --
Months ago, I was able to set the Image preferences to export grayscale TIFFs from Image Well and I was able to convert all my color photos to nice grayscale ones, which was great. Problem is, now I can't make it work. No matter what I set the Image Preferences (from the File menu) to, I just get a color photo out. It converts the DPI correctly, but will not do the grayscale. Any ideas? Thanks.

I just checked after I read your post, and my tiff from the Image Well is also messed up.

1. Gray and B&W come out like a bad TV picture with slanted scan lines (directly from a Create vector).
2. When I pull out a color tiff, and then pull out a grayscale tiff from the color tiff, it remains in color.
3. The little selection button for the 24 (color) setting is not over the button, but over the "24" text.

It seems to me that something is broken with the tiff Image Well, and the UI needs a little tweaking. Thanks for pointing this out. I trust Andrew will give us a fix fairly soon.
