If I add a two paint layers to a movie, save it, and reopen it, the paint layers shift down and to the left by the value of the margin that surrounds the active video. I am using 640X480 resolution from a digital camera, so the video does not fully fill the videator window.

Try size to fit or just manually resize the window until the canvas fits - if you have the window "TOO SMALL" for the video, it will clip part of the movie, and thus confuse the paint layer.

I leave it on "Size to Fit" by default so that this never happens to me.

I'll give that a try on the next edit round. It seems to work well in a 30 second test.
