1. Move the in and out markers towards the middle of the clip.

2. Overlay an image.

3. Attempt to move the image.

You'll see the play head move back to the beginning of the clip, outside of the markers.

On my movies, no I cannot duplicate this.
On the movie you provided me, YES - I totally see what you are saying. I'll dig deeper into this today. Very odd and annoying - so thanks for providing us with the movie so we can check this out!

OK - I see the bug. 99% of quicktime movies use "kVideoTimeScale" (ie 600) for timescale. Your movie uses "30" - which induces the bug. Let me see if I can code for that case too...

This 30 time code seems to come from the frames per second. I thought nothing of it because it was what iMovie used (note that I have now completely switched to videator because the work flow is better).

On another note, I have noticed that if I create an effect for the 30 time format, it does not transfer well to the 600 format and vice versa. I noted this in another bug report, but I'm not sure I related it in a way that made sense. Realizing that there are multiple time formats out there makes me wonder if there is a way to code things in a time-format independent way.

Thanks,
Bud

I think that other bug may be related.

As far as timescale VS frames per second - timescale is something that developers set and use - Frames/Second is a playback feature, not an inherent component of a file format.

It's up to Videator to figure out and use the timescale of the current movie ;-) I found and fixed your particular "move image bug" in any case, and will go after any others as possible. I'll send you a URL to test it soon.
