I was grokking and ended with some masks that can be used in iMaginator or Create. They are Grayscale JPGs.

In iMaginator: Open them. Color Invert. Mask To Alpha. I include a Color Invert & Mask Effect Chain. You can do other Effects also - Colorize, Blur...)

I then drag a png (or tiff) from the Image Drag Well in iMaginator to Create in order to place over a Graphic or Image.

The Effected files can also used for Source Out in iMaginator

I store the jpg files in an iMaginator Gallery. The tar-ball is all the files together, if you want to expand it and import the folder as a Gallery. Ones that I've Effected I store in a Create Library Resource.

File Sharing

Hope you can use them,
Ron

It's very cool that you can drag straight from the iMaginator Galleries straight to Create.

Ron,

Those are some neat masks you created. They remind me a lot of the ones that I used in my pre-Create days (with Corel Draw). I could see that some of these masks could be included with future versions of iMaginator and/or Create. Thanks for making these examples available.

Thanks, but these aren't made from scratch. They're like cake from a box - which I love since I don't cook.

I have a copy of Photoframe and was wondering how to use the frames with iMaginator. I put together an Automator with the Finder and Graphic Convertor to convert the .frm files to jpg.

You could probably work with the Corel Draw ones the same way.

They aren't tough to create in iMaginator, either from a scan or scratch. If you have a scanner, scribble, scrawl or scratch on something. Scan it in with Image Capture in Grayscale. Have Image Capture send it to iMaginator and adjust.

You could take digital photos of bricks, puddles, wood...again through Image Capture (or iPhoto) to iMaginator.

Glad you can use them.

I've updated the iMaginator Samples page to have a place to share all these cool tricks and tips and masks and things:

Let me know if there's more to add and I'll do it!
