I use SuperDuper to create checkpoints and backups of my volumes. This process involves synchronizing two volumes and booting from a copy. By employing this checkpoint I can easily revert to my previous system whenever trouble arises.

However sound this practice is; it seems to disagree with the Licneser for Stone Studio, in that, after this synch I have to re-enter my keys for each program even though the ####.license files are still in their proper location. (The volumes do have different names.)

I store my keys in ./Library/Application Support/Stone/appName/ so as to allow my wife and me to share the suite between our two accounts. Is there a way to avoid this annoyance?

Imagine a student or unethical entrepreneur doing exactly what you are doing, except redistributing our apps pre-licensed.

Now, you'll appreciate why we do it the way we do.
I could create licenses specifically for your machine if you want - these won't be affected by disk images - nor will they work on your wife's machine.
