I'm thinking that the new iPod Photo would be great to use as a highly portable presentation device. Using Photo to Web to export my presentation from Create into JPGs, and then using the iPod Photo to play them on the video projector.

Does anyone know if you can advance the pages (photos) manually, or only by preset timing (5 seconds, etc.)

Just curious,

I was demoing Stone Studio at the Apple Store in Chicago last night, and the TROU president, Russ Conte, came up to me and asked if PhotoToWeb could do web-based Slide Shows (it already does fullscreen slideshows while using PhotoToWeb).

I had a great presentation, and 20 minutes into the train ride back to the 'burbs, I implemented a Slide Show feature! A couple hours to truly integrate it into all 9 languages with a nice UI (see Web Options, Layout, "Auto Slide Show" and it's delay field next to it).

Try out the pre-release of the next version!

Great idea!

For those of you wondering how Andrew has done this, he has used the refresh meta attribute to automatically load the next page after a set length of time.
(A good book is HTML for the world wide web by Elizabeth Castro)

What are the complications of programing P2W to export the slide show as a Quicktime Movie?

Drop them into iMovie or QT pro is fast.
I have the code from iMaginator to do this for P2W - but I'm not sure how many OS versions back it will work.

There must be a point where supporting all versions of X with every feature becomes impractical? Could these features be greyed out when the OS version does not support them? How do other people feel about this?

With the wide availability of Broadband, most of the UK now covered, animation, movies and slide shows are now very much part of the everyday web experience. Quicktime and Flash look to be safe formats to use along with animated gifs. iMaginator has QT output, P2W I think could benifit from it as could the Automator in Create. Or would we all be best served with a seperate app?

This is not something I expect Andrew to implement in the next 24 hours, as he very often does, more a review the roadmap and gather some input exercise.
