Stone Design and Caffeine Software Announce Developer Tools for Apple Rhapsody & OpenStep

May 12, 1997, San Jose, California - Stone Design, a longtime leader in the NeXT/OpenStep marketplace and producers of Create HTML, and Caffeine Software, producers of the unrivaled image processing software, TIFFany, have teamed up to produce plug and play "Meta-Objects" or frameworks to leverage OpenStep developers.

Leading the pack of Meta-Objects is the Licensing Framework, which provides developers a complete software licensing solution. Developed and tested for 4 years, the Licenser runs on all flavors of OpenStep. Key features include support for unlocking demo software, floating network licenses, licenses locked to user name or host id, and expiring licenses. No royalty fees are charged.

The Licensing framework is $15,000, but has an introductory price of $10,000 through Q3 1997. Availability is now for beta, and Q3 1997 for final release.
