Twiku - the 140 character art form

I’ve been toying with an ancient and yet always modern poetry form of Tweet Haiku which deserves a new word Twiku

Here are a few reTweeted Twikus from the dawn of iPhone SDK time - you’ll notice themes like family, garden, caffeine, coding and of course, the moon!

Predawn moon glowing / Calming peace of the Prophets / Irrigation day

Sleep deprivation / more 20 hour coding days / make sleep up when dead

the mystics and coders / all awake at 4 AM / revel in quiet

Old man gloom does burn / can you feel the new day now? / goodbye detritus

Harvest trumps 4C / but oh Sweet Home Chicago / Papa Joe’s T Sauce

Five am again / chai is beginning to work / great features coming!

Coder and Farmer / yesterday and tomorrow / pickles and salsa!

It’s hotter than hell / global climate change is here / winter will be nice

better snapple than / mountain dew - the coder’s pal / caffeine addiction

roasted poblanos / raw sweet corn dripping milk down / Mexican Summer

Coding hangover / no sleep for hyperactive / caffeine, I love you

A week with the kids / putt putt now has arcade games / got five hole-in-one’s

Dill pickles coming / garlic harvested - much dill / can you taste the crunch?

Ah pickles at last / dill garlic and cucumbers / quite kosher of course

Irrigation day / rio grande water floods / agua es vida!

Garden growing great / monsoon rains have come again / chiles - tomatos

Dawn in Santa Fe / there are new conquistadors / Natives are still bummed

Santa fe lobby / the eldorado hotel / too tall for Santa

Santa Fe Museum / of Indian Arts - Culture / monsoon rains falling

Cut the Sudan grass / so nice to have for winter / but now it’s raining

La Montanita / my coop for thirty years / we are getting old!

Was Geezamboni’s / Jhondi’s bar b queue - wait! I’m / vegetarian

Old developer / twenty years of hard coding / 100 days success!

when I sleep I code / fricken brain never shuts down / but bugs get resolved

back to New Orleans / katrina’s ravaged stepchild / you shall rise again

bare naked ladies / 5000 developers / better start dancing

retain and release / why not garbage collection? / whoops my iPhone crashed!

stump the experts / can the developers win? / maybe if we cheat!

Garlic crop coming / June moon harvest like a loon / vampires take cover

Coding without sleep / I was young once ‘pon a time / off to the garden

Incredible day / need to quit coding and play / tractor awaits me

Tonight’s the full moon / gardeners it’s transplant time / dig the earth again

Morning green tea chai / caffeine to brain means I live / three hours sleep good ’nuff

peddling down highway / albert Hoffman did that once / now it is your turn
