Q: I wanted an image stamp with a transparent background, so I checked the White pixels are transparent checkbox. However, when I printed the document with the stamp, the background was no longer transparent. What's up with that?
A: On most PostScript Level 1 and Level 2 printers, the transparent mask will become opaque; these printers can't handle this PostScript Level 3 feature.
Q: I converted some image files (TIFF and JPEG) to PDF using PStill, and then tried to stamp them in StampInStone, but the stamp didn't appear. What's up?
A: Currently, any image converted to PDF via PStill can't be stamped. But there's an easy workaround: just run the newly-created PDF through PStill (redistill it) and then stamp it.
